Luego, US$ 299 por 90 días si decides seguir.

Qué quiere saber el entrevistador

Con «Tell me about yourself» no te pide tu biografía.

  1. Presente (20 a 30 s): qué haces hoy y en qué eres fuerte. «I'm a [role] with [X] years of experience in [area]. Right now I'm working at [company], where I [main responsibility].»
«Before that, I [action], which [result].»
  3. Futuro (15 a 20 s): por qué este puesto. «Now I'm looking for [what you want], and that's why this role caught my attention.»

«I'm a backend developer with five years of experience building APIs in Node.js and Python. Right now I work at a fintech in Bogotá, where I lead the payments integration team. Last year we moved our main service to a new architecture, and that cut response times by half. I've been working with US clients for two years, and now I'm looking for a fully remote role where I can own larger parts of the product. That's why this position caught my attention.»

Marketing

«I'm a digital marketing specialist with six years of experience in paid media and SEO. I currently manage campaigns for e-commerce brands in Mexico, with a monthly budget of around fifty thousand dollars. In my last project, I rebuilt the campaign structure and we increased online sales by 30 percent in four months. I'd like to apply that experience to a growing brand in the US market, which is exactly what you're doing.»

Atención al cliente o call center

«I've worked in customer service for three years, first in Spanish and for the last year in English, supporting customers of a US telecom company. I handle around fifty calls a day, mostly billing and technical issues, and I keep a customer satisfaction score above 90 percent. I enjoy solving problems on the phone, and I'm looking for a role where I can grow into a team lead position.»

Recién egresado

«I recently graduated in industrial engineering from a university in Lima. During my last year, I did a six-month internship in a logistics company, where I helped redesign the warehouse layout and we reduced picking time by 15 percent. I'm very interested in supply chain, and this trainee program would let me learn from a team that works with operations in several countries.»

  • «I've been working in… for the past five years.» (no «I work in… since five years»)
  • «I'm responsible for…» / «I'm in charge of…»
  • «One thing I'm proud of is…»
  • «What I enjoy most about my work is…»
  • «That's why I'm excited about this role.»

Cómo practicarla hasta decirla sin leer

Preguntas frecuentes

Lo que más nos preguntan

¿Cuánto debe durar mi respuesta a «Tell me about yourself»?

¿Qué no debo decir en «Tell me about yourself»?

Casi. «Introduce yourself», «Walk me through your resume» y «Tell me a bit about your background» piden lo mismo: un resumen profesional corto que lleve al puesto.
